With grants from the National Garden Clubs, Inc. and the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs - District 6, Garden Club by the Sea presented the dedication of their Blue  Star Memorial By-Way Marker at Lily Park on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2021.

It was a beautiful Veterans Day at Lily Park with over 100 people in attendance. President Valerie Karas presided over the Blue Star Memorial By-Way Marker dedication ceremony. Lily Park co-chair Pam Dunn read the history of the National Garden Clubs Blue Star By-Way marker and co-chair Susan Vallette presented the Certificate of Dedication to the Honorable Mayor Dave Berkman.

One hundred and fifty names of men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces were read at the dedication by past president Barbara Dial, master gardener Jenifer Marx and Mariane Brillante. Other notable guests include The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association FL 20-1, Melbourne High School ROTC Honor Guard, Reverand Darice Dawson of Eastminster Presbyterian and Father Zacharias Thornbury of Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
