Garden Club by the Sea in Indialantic, Florida

Garden Club by the Sea (GCBS) was organized and federated in 1964. Our club’s activities are organized into beautification, conservation, and education plus special projects or initiatives. Membership is open to beachside residents who live between the Eau Gallie Causeway and the southern boundary of Melbourne Beach, Florida. General meetings take place in our members’ homes from September through April with a luncheon in May. Learn more about the club, including membership and accomplishments. We are committed to encouraging local students to pursue careers in the fields of, but not limited to, horticulture, agriculture, botany, environmental science, etc. Each year we offer scholarships to local students majoring in the fields listed above at the undergraduate and graduate level. We also facilitate local children in attending Wekiva Youth Camp each summer. This residential nature camp is for 3rd—8th Grade youngsters and sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. It is open to everyone.

We are very proud of our installation of a Blue Star Memorial Highway marker and very grateful to our community partners who donated generously towards the success of Lily Park. Read more about the marker and see fantastic photographs and video.

Read the latest version of The Seaside Gardener, an online magazine written by member, Jenifer Marx, who covers what to plant and what to do in your yard each month.
